Meet Kristen, our new Intern!

I was beyond pumped to get to have an intern this summer, and even moreso as I've gotten to work with Kristen. She is incredibly kind, genuine, and has a passion for photographing people. She will be by my side for our upcoming weddings, portrait sessions, and working together as I teach her what I know about the photography world. I definitely don't have all the answers, but I'm so grateful she wants to learn under me, and I am eager to teach her anything I can. I've learned so much myself about branding, marketing, and becoming authentic to the kind of person you want to be. I've grown, and it's such a gift to be able to give back by helping this girl grow in her own art and artistry.Kristen graduated from North Medford High School, and is going to be a senior at Northwest Nazarene University. She will graduate in 2019, with a degree in studio arts and a minor in photography. "Through my journey in college, I've had editing classes, photography classes, and a variety of other art courses. I am hoping to add in business classes if time and credits allow", she explained, "I hope to gain the knowledge to improve my image composition, how to work with clients, editing, and things that go into making your brand successful. I know there is so much that goes into being a photographer that isn't as obvious, so I wanted to find someone with personal experience, who can teach me the ins and outs." I know Kristen also wants to gain experience with clients and the outcome of the images, and I hope you'll join me in welcoming her to the AHP family!
