Birthday Trip to Portland | Travel Photography
Once upon a time...in November, my main man surprised me with a trip to Portland to see THE ONE, THE ONLY, Johnnyswim (if you haven’t heard of them, check them out right now!) for my birthday! Kelly- you knocked it out of the park on this one. WE LOVE PORTLAND. First off- I mean, the food, the culture, the coffee, the endless spots to hike... talk about a fun getaway from Medford.We flew in early morning, picked up our speedy, toy-sized rental car and hit the streets. First stop, naturally, was a coffee shop. I indulged in a delicious almond croissant, plus an earl grey and Kelly somehow spotted the Flying Pie across the street which just so happens to be his all time favorite pizza spot. So, clearly he went for a morning slice of pizza that I couldn't resist and I went for the really healthy pastry, then we were off to Multonomah Falls.Now, mind you, we have been to Portland a few times together and each time we've wanted to hike and explore, but haven't had the chance to do it all. The one spot I wanted to explore this go around was Multanomah Falls...and let me tell ya, it was GORGEOUS. Sometimes nature makes me behold something, say "wow" and admire it's majesty or more so, the God that created it. This was that kind of experience, we had a blast hiking and snapping a few photos along the way.Kelly, you're my favorite of all time to explore and adventure with. Thank you for making my 29th so special, I'd rather spend it with no one else...I love you, sweets.
