Capturing family is always a joy, and this shoot exceeded our expectations! This the Connick family, also known more affectionately as, my in-laws and my beautiful nieces. We had so much fun taking part in the many "competitions", whether it was twirling, skipping, or sharing secrets. I love these girls so much, and this family is so close to my heart. Whenever I get the privilege to document families, I try to do more than just pose them in a pretty environment. I always strive to get to the heart of what makes them laugh and smile, and the bond they share. These adorable sisters provided plenty of fodder, and I could hardly get over their cute pink and yellow dresses. These images had me grinning from ear to ear as I was editing them, and it was pretty hard to narrow down my favorites. Love y'all!If you're thinking that it's been awhile since you've had family photos done, I understand. It can be really challenging to arrange everyone's schedules, outfits, and timing things around naps and activities...it can feel downright impossible, and you may be wondering why family photos are worth the time and money. I will say this: Even when I see families every single year, their kiddos change so fast! Even if you space them out every six months, your little ones will be totally different people than when you did portraits before...they have different interests, laughs, and things they find hilarious. You'll be so grateful that you carved out time for documenting these years as a family, when you look back at them in the years to come...trust me.
